We're looking for committed and empathetic individuals to join a dedicated team supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs at an Alternative Provision based in the Kingswood / Barton Hill area of Bristol. These young people have often experienced significant challenges, and your role will be key in helping them re–engage with learning, build trust, and develop the skills they need to succeed–both in and out of the classroom.

What You'll Be Doing:

Providing 1:1 or 2:1 support in a nurturing, trauma–informed environment.Supporting pupils with EHCPs, particularly in Years 10 and 11, who require consistent, intensive guidance.Facilitating learning and emotional development through structured activities and community–based experiences.Acting as a positive role model, helping pupils build resilience, self–esteem, and social skills.Collaborating with teachers, mentors, and external professionals to ensure holistic support is in place.

A Day in the Life:

Begin your day by collecting a student and transporting them to school–building rapport from the outset.Support learning, lead enrichment activities, and accompany students on community outings throughout the day.End the day by ensuring a safe return home, closing the loop on a day full of growth and connection.

What You Bring:

A full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and business insurance.Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs in schools or alternative settings.A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and relationship–building.A background that helps you relate to the challenges these pupils face–and a passion for helping them find a better path (desirable).
