Join Our Dedicated Team as a Teaching Assistant at Vision for Education – Secondary SEN School

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs in a secondary school setting? We are seeking a caring, proactive, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a vibrant secondary SEN school. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in helping students with diverse needs—including SEMH, autism, and learning difficulties—reach their full potential within an inclusive, nurturing environment.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Secondary)

Location: Southampton

Hours: Full-time/Part-time

Start Date: ASAP / September

Salary: £430 - £450 per week

What You’ll Do:

Support class teachers in delivering tailored lessons suited to students’ individual needs

Build trusting, positive relationships to boost confidence and motivation

Assist students with their emotional regulation, social skills, and behaviour management

Help create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

Contribute to the overall wellbeing and development of students with complex needs

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with secondary-aged children or young people with SEN (minimum 1-2 years)

Passion for inclusive education and safeguarding

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Resilient, adaptable, and proactive attitude

Enhanced DBS on the update service

Full driving license (desirable but not essential)
