What you'll be doing:

You'll be designing and delivering engaging Chemistry lessons at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (A–level), alongside broader Science teaching. As Second in Science, you will support the Head of Department with curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and staff development, with a focus on Chemistry. It's about fostering rigorous scientific inquiry, encouraging practical experimentation, and developing students' analytical and problem–solving skills. What we're looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Chemistry. Proven experience teaching Chemistry effectively across the secondary age range, with a track record of strong student outcomes. Demonstrable leadership experience or a clear readiness to step into a Second in Department role. A deep and current understanding of the Science curriculum, excellent laboratory skills, and a commitment to innovative teaching methods.
