Are you an aspiring School mental health assistant?!

Have you recently graduated with a Psychology degree or a very experienced SEN Teaching Assistant and are wanting to take the next steps in your career?!!

This SEN school is looking is looking for SEN Psychology and Criminology Graduates in Kempston or the surrounding areas to provide first class support to children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs, ADHD, and communication difficulties, Down syndrome and some speech, language and communication needs.

Job Title: School Mental Health Assistant

Location: Kempston

Salary Scale: £460-£500 per week

Start: September

Contract type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 16:30

This School Mental Health Assistant role is an ideal opportunity if you aspire to have a career focussed on Counselling, Men Health, Wellbeing, Criminal, Social or Youth Justice, or looking at elements of social care for example.

This is an outstanding opportunity in Kempston for an individual with previous SEN experience OR a Graduate with a keen interest in this area of work.

What is required?

An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Criminology and Psychology Graduates

An interest in mental health and Autism

Knowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH elements of the provision)
