School Cleaner

Description

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out daily cleaning duties across classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas.

Ensure all surfaces, floors, and furniture are cleaned and sanitised to a high standard.

Empty bins and dispose of waste safely.

Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Operate cleaning equipment safely and in line with instructions.

Follow school health and safety guidelines, including correct use of cleaning chemicals and PPE.

Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to the site manager.

Work as part of a team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently, especially during busy periods such as events or term changes.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience in cleaning, ideally within a school or similar environment.

A good understanding of health and safety in a cleaning context.

Reliability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.

A flexible and positive approach to work.
