School Caretaker – Primary School (SK4, Stockport)

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join a welcoming Primary School in the SK4 area of Stockport. This full–time, long–term role will begin in September 2025 and offers the opportunity to become an essential part of the school community.

Role Details:

Start Date: September 2025

Location: SK4 area, Stockport

Hours: Monday to Friday (full–time)

Contract: Long–term

Type: Primary School

Key Responsibilities:

Opening and closing the school site each day

General maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the school grounds and facilities

Ensuring the school is clean, safe, and well–presented

Carrying out basic plumbing, joinery, and painting tasks as required

Monitoring and ordering cleaning/maintenance supplies

Assisting with setting up for school events

Requirements:

Previous experience as a caretaker (preferably in a school environment)

Strong practical skills for minor repairs and maintenance

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Reliability, flexibility, and a proactive attitude

A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
