1:1 Support Role in Primary Alternative Provision

Are you a passionate and empathetic Psychology graduate looking to make a real difference in the lives of children who need it most?

Tradewind are are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our nurturing team within a Primary Alternative Provision setting. This is a unique opportunity to support children on a 1-2-1 basis, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and thrive both emotionally and academically.

Location: Blackpool

Contract: Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £90 - 120 per day

About the Role:

As a 1:1 Support Worker, you'll work closely with pupils who present with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, providing tailored interventions and consistent, compassionate support. You'll be a key figure in helping them develop positive relationships, emotional regulation skills, and confidence in learning.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide targeted 1:1 support in and outside the classroom

* Implement strategies informed by psychological theory and best practice

* Build trusting relationships and promote positive behaviour

* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

* Track and reflect on progress to inform future support

Ideal Candidate:

* A Psychology graduate with a genuine interest in child development and mental health

* Experience working with children or young people (in any setting) is advantageous

* Resilient, patient, and emotionally intelligent

* A team player with a proactive attitude and strong communication skills

* Keen to learn and develop professionally
