Primary teaching assistants required.

Zen Educate are currently looking to take on a number of primary teaching assistants to work in a range of primary schools in Gloucester. This will either be on a full time or part time basis for long term commitments, although there will be opportunities to work flexible work if this is what you require. Working hours are 8:30– 3:30, Monday to Friday and term time only.

Much of the work will be supporting students with additional learning needs on a 1:1 basis, but there may be opportunities to support small groups as well.

We are looking for people that have experience in working with special needs ideally such as those with autism, ADHD or mental health difficulties. This can either be from a previous school based role or through working with children in an alternative means. As a primary teaching assistant you will need to flexible to the ages you work with as well as the needs of the school.

A good primary teaching assistant is someone that is both reliable in their work but also consistent in their approach to working and supporting children. You will need to have good communication skills both with the students but also the other members of staff. Follow the instructions laid out by both the teacher but also the education healthcare plan that a student may have. You will need to have a resilient disposition, be able to handle behavioural challenges but encourage, nurture and guide students to excell in their learning.
