HLTA / PPA Cover Teacher Opportunity | Rochester, Kent | £100-£130 per day | Long-Term Contract | September 2025

Are you an experienced HLTA or qualified primary teacher seeking a rewarding long-term role?

Supply Desk are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and adaptable educator to join our partnered two-form entry primary school in Rochester, Kent. This long-term contract provides the chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive school environment, covering PPA sessions and leading classes across various key stages until at least December 2025.

About the Role:

In this role, you will use your expertise to provide high-quality PPA cover, manage classrooms, and support students in their learning. You will also work with small groups, particularly those with SEND, and collaborate with teaching staff to maintain high standards of education and engagement. Strong classroom management skills are essential to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

PPA Cover: Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

Classroom Management: Use effective behaviour strategies to maintain a focused and positive learning atmosphere.

SEND Support: Work with small groups of students with additional needs, ensuring they receive tailored support.

Intervention Delivery: Plan and lead targeted interventions to support pupil progress.

Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff to track student progress and uphold high standards of behaviour and engagement.

Parental Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents and provide updates on student development.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified HLTA or Primary Teacher: The ideal candidate will have HLTA status or extensive experience of leading classes as a HLTA across the primary key stages.

Adaptability: Ability to teach across different year groups and adapt to the needs of various classrooms.

SEND Experience: Experience supporting children with special educational needs is highly desirable.

Strong Behaviour Management: Confidence in managing classroom behaviour effectively.

Resilient & Enthusiastic: A proactive, warm, and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.

DBS & References: A valid, in-date DBS and two references are required.
