PMLD Teaching Assistant – Hounslow

Salary: £85 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time | Long-term

GSL Education is looking to recruit a caring and committed PMLD Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a specialist school in Hounslow. This role is a chance to play a vital part in helping students with complex needs thrive both academically and personally.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Individualised Support: Provide tailored assistance to pupils with PMLD on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Adapting Lessons: Work alongside teachers to modify classroom activities and resources for accessibility.

Encouraging Development: Support communication, confidence, and independence in daily learning.

Care & Wellbeing: Assist with personal care needs sensitively, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.

Positive Environment: Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom for every learner.

Relevant Experience: Background in PMLD, SEND, or supporting students with complex needs.

Personal Qualities: Empathy, patience, and the resilience to support children with additional challenges.

Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff.

Safeguarding Knowledge: Strong understanding of child protection and welfare responsibilities.
