Job Title: Pastoral Lead

Location: Rotherham

Salary Range: £95 - £113 per day (Depending on Experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking to appoint a Pastoral Lead to work across schools in Rotherham. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in student support and behaviour management and is committed to fostering a nurturing and safe school environment.

As a Pastoral Lead, you will provide vital emotional and social support to students, guiding their wellbeing and personal development while fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.

As a Pastoral Lead, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

Acting as a point of contact for pastoral concerns within the school.

Liaising with parents, staff, and external agencies to support pupil welfare.

Promoting positive behaviour and implementing restorative practices.

Maintaining accurate pastoral records and monitoring student progress.

Supporting the school’s safeguarding and attendance procedures.

To be a Pastoral Lead, you will require:

Previous experience in a pastoral, mentoring, or behaviour support role.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.

Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and solution focused.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

A CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
