Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

Location: Hastings

Salary: GBP90 – GBP100 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full–time, Long–term (Part–time roles also available)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a caring and supportive nursery setting in Hastings, catering to children aged 0–5 years. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact during children's early learning journey in a warm, welcoming environment.

About the Role: This is a child–focused, hands–on role where you'll provide high–quality care and education for young children. You'll create engaging activities that support development across all areas of learning while ensuring each child feels safe, happy, and valued. The nursery prioritises play–based learning, emotional development, and building strong foundations for future learning.

Experience with EYFS framework, observations and assessments, sensory play, or supporting children with additional needs will be a strong advantage but if you're still growing these skills, you're warmly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

Provide high–quality care and education for children aged 0–5 yearsPlan and deliver age–appropriate activities that support development across all learning areasUse observations and assessments to track children's progress and plan next stepsCreate a nurturing, stimulating environment that promotes learning through playSupport children's personal care needs with patience and sensitivityBuild positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Requirements:

Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (or equivalent)Experience working with children aged 0–5 in nursery or childcare settingsUnderstanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)Caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young childrenUnderstanding of safeguarding and willingness to undertake relevant trainingEnhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply) What We Offer:
