Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) – York

Contract: Full-time (part-time considered)

Location: York

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Start: As soon as available

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team in York. You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can learn, explore and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a Key Person, building strong, positive relationships with children and families.

Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS.

Observe, assess and record children’s progress; contribute to learning journals and next steps.

Maintain excellent safeguarding, health & safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Work effectively within staff ratios, supporting routines including meals, nappies/toileting and sleep.

Set up engaging indoor/outdoor environments and contribute creative ideas to the curriculum.

Collaborate with colleagues and attend staff meetings, training and supervisions.

About You

Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g. Early Years Educator or equivalent) – essential.

Sound knowledge of the EYFS, child development and inclusive practice.

Passionate, reliable and proactive, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Confident in observation, assessment and planning.

Enhanced DBS check on the update service and suitable references required.
