The role is a mix of room-based and supernumerary time, supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, leading staff, and maintaining high-quality care and education for all children. We see our Deputy Managers as future Nursery Managers — so there’s a real opportunity for career progression.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting the Nursery Manager in day-to-day operations, including rotas, staffing, and health & safety.

Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Leading, motivating, and developing your team.

Communicating effectively with parents and carers, building strong relationships.

Ensuring an engaging, safe, and stimulating learning environment for children aged 0–5.

Maintaining accurate records of children’s development and wellbeing. What We’re Looking For:

Level 3 Early Years qualification or higher.

Strong leadership experience in early years settings (Deputy Manager experience preferred).

Confident managing a team and stepping up in the Manager’s absence.

Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and Birth to 5 Matters.

Minimum 2 years’ nursery experience
