Nursery Cook

Description

We are currently looking for a Nursery Cook to join our team at Wetherby House Kensal.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about preparing healthy, nutritious meals for children and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks for children aged 0–5

* Follow the nursery’s set menu and portion guidelines

* Ensure all meals meet individual dietary and allergy requirements

* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area in line with food safety regulations

* Manage food stock levels and assist with ordering supplies

* Work closely with nursery staff to support the wellbeing of children

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a nursery, school, or care setting.

* Knowledge of food safety regulations and nutritional standards for young children.

* Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

* Ability to plan menus and manage kitchen budgets.

* Friendly, reliable, and committed to the well-being of children.

* Clear enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
