Midday Assistant – Part Time – Term Time Only

Location: Redbridge, London

Start Date: September 2025

Salary: £5,500 – £6,500 per year (based on approx. 10 hours/week, term time only)

Are you a caring and dependable individual who enjoys working with children? Primary schools across Redbridge are seeking Midday Assistants to join their teams from September 2025.

This is a rewarding, part-time opportunity to help create a safe, happy, and inclusive lunchtime environment for pupils aged 4–11.

The Role:

As a Midday Assistant, you will:

Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground, and other areas during the lunch break

Encourage positive play and support social interaction

*

Assist younger pupils with eating and basic routines

*

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children

*

Follow school behaviour and safeguarding procedures

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be warm, patient, and confident with children

*

Work well as part of a team and follow instructions

*

Be reliable, punctual, and professional at all times

*

Have some experience working with children (desirable, not essential)

*

Hold a valid DBS (or be willing to apply for one)
