Job Title: Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

Location: Brentwood

Job Type: Full-Time – Permanent and Temp to Perm Opportunities Available

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and confident Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly and supportive nursery team based in Brentwood. This is a full-time position with both permanent and temp-to-perm options available, depending on your preference and suitability.

You will play a vital role in supporting the early years development of children, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and caring environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging, and creative activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Monitor and support the progress and development of children in your care.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date observations, assessments, and reports.

Build strong, effective communication and partnerships with parents/carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and daily experiences.

Promote and maintain health and safety, safeguarding, and hygiene standards.

Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure high-quality care and education.

Be confident managing key person responsibilities, including planning next steps for children's learning.

Support children's personal, social, emotional, and physical development.

Follow nursery policies and procedures to ensure consistent standards are upheld.

Requirements:

A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).

Previous nursery or early years setting experience (essential).

Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.

Confident with all duties associated with the role, including planning, observations, and liaising with parents.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A genuine passion for working with children and helping them develop.

DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).
