Salary: £89 – £105 per day (Depending on Experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Hull. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a positive difference in children’s academic and social growth.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Level 2 TA), you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning needs. You will assist in delivering lessons, supporting small groups or individual students, and contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils across the curriculum.

Assist teachers in delivering effective and engaging lessons.

Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.

Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive attitudes to learning.

Prepare and organise classroom resources and materials.

Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and other non-classroom activities.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to meet pupil needs.

Promote independence and confidence in learning.

Support extracurricular activities and school trips when required.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Level 2 TA) Requirements:

Experience working in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.

Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or equivalent (desirable).

A degree in Education, psychology or a similar field.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting children.

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
