? Learning Support Assistant - Resource Base for Moderate Learning Difficulties ?

Location: West Bristol Pay Rate: GBP95-GBP107 per day Hours: Full-time or Part-time available Start Date: November 2025

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs? We are looking for a committed and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist resource base, supporting pupils whose academic or personal development is at least five years behind their chronological age.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with moderate learning difficulties.Assist in the creation and delivery of personalised learning materials and activities.Support students in developing essential life skills, social interaction, and emotional regulation.Monitor progress and contribute to individual education plans (IEPs).Help manage behaviour positively and consistently.Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.Assist with personal care tasks where necessary.Promote inclusion and encourage participation in classroom and school activities. Experience Required:

Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEN), ideally in a school or care setting.Understanding of moderate learning difficulties and effective support strategies.Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and maintain a calm, patient approach.Strong communication skills to work effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies.Experience supporting pupils with delayed academic or emotional development.Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
