Hours: 08:45 – 15:15, Monday to Friday

Contract: 30 hours per week, Term Time Only (39 weeks per year)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Academics is working with a forward–thinking and inclusive secondary school in Cheshunt to recruit a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience or for those who are already experienced in supporting young learners.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to ensure they can access the curriculum and thrive within a mainstream classroom. You'll work collaboratively with teachers, the SEND department, and support staff to promote equality in education.

Key Responsibilities:

Help advance student learning in a variety of classroom settingsProvide targeted in–class support for students with SENDDeliver 1:1 support to high–needs students as requiredPromote inclusion and equal learning access for all studentsRecord behaviour, interventions, and meetings using SIMS and student filesSupport students with physical needs, as appropriateThis role is ideal for those based in or near Cheshunt, who are keen to work in education and training, particularly within a SEND environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
