Description

Available now and ready to step straight into a supportive KS2 role?

• Confident working with children aged 7–11 in English, maths, and topic learning?

• Want a position where you can make a real difference and start this term?

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming, inclusive primary school in central Bristol that’s looking to appoint a KS2 Teaching Assistant for an immediate or September start. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running and thrive in a friendly, well-organised school environment.

About the School:

This school is known for its strong staff collaboration, positive behaviour culture, and creative, pupil-focused learning. Teaching Assistants are fully valued as part of the team, and there’s a proven pathway for progression into HLTA or teacher training for those looking to take the next step.

What We’re Looking For:

Availability to start immediately or from September

A calm, consistent approach and ability to work well under direction and independently

Experience supporting pupils in literacy, numeracy, and topic subjects

Confidence running small group interventions and helping children engage with learning

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

The Role Includes:

Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation

Leading small group work—especially in maths and reading

Providing targeted, confidence-boosting support to individual pupils

Encouraging engagement through interactive and practical learning

Building strong relationships with staff, pupils, and families

Flexible options for part-time or full-time work depending on your availability

In return for the above you can expect to receive:

A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to help you with the easy onboarding process

Guaranteed Payment Scheme *Terms and Conditions apply*

CPD Courses and certificates as part of the My-Progression channel

Market leading rates of pay

TeacherActive Referral Scheme – Receive up to £100 when you refer a friend *Terms and Conditions apply*

Our staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you’re paying the right level of TAX and National Insurance and there’s no messing around with admin charges coming out of your hard-earned cash.

If you are interested in this position, then click ‘APPLY NOW’ and I will be in touch regarding this fantastic opportunity.

All applicants will be contacted to discuss suitability and then invited to register with TeacherActive.

Registration involves an enhanced DBS check, ID checks and will require you to supply good professional references. We pride ourselves on excellent service.
