As on of our valued Learning Support Assistants, you will play a key role in the maintenance and management of the classroom. You will have the opportunity to work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis, as well as assist in a more general capacity. You'll be a key figure in the classroom in supporting the teacher navigate the day and ensure that the learning environment is safe.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

Location: Bristol

Position: Learning Support Assistant

Type of work: Carry out professional duties, responsible for group support/1:1 support, ensure the safety and welfare of pupils, small group work, reading, forest school opportunities, support class teacher in delivering lessons

Start Date: Immediate – assignment on–going

Rate of pay : 105 – 125

Hours: 08:30 – 16:00

EXPERIENCE

Desirable:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (not essential)

Experience of working in Primary Schools

Experience of inclusive classroom practice

An understanding/awareness of supporting SEND requirements

Previous experience of supporting learning using a range of strategies, both with groups and on a 1:1 basis

Drives (not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold right to work in the UK

Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child related references
