Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants

Location: Haringey, North London

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

Salary: £85 - £105 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

SEN Teaching Assistants - Rewarding Opportunities Across Haringey

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of Special Educational Needs Schools and SEN Units throughout Haringey from September 2025.

We are working with multiple specialist settings including mainstream schools with dedicated SEN resources, special schools, and alternative provision centres, all looking for committed support staff to join their teams.

About the Opportunities: You will provide vital support to students with diverse SEND across various educational environments, working with young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Learning Difficulties, SEMH needs, Physical Disabilities, and communication challenges. Your key responsibilities will typically include:

Providing targeted 1:1 and small group support to students with varying special educational needs

Assisting with the delivery of personalised learning programmes and therapeutic interventions

Supporting students with personal care, mobility, and daily living skills as required

Working alongside teachers and specialists to implement individual education plans and behaviour support strategies

Helping to create inclusive, accessible learning environments that promote student independenceThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs in educational or care settings

Understanding of different types of SEN and approaches to supporting diverse learning needs

Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students who may present challenging behaviours

Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, Team Teach, or first aid training would be beneficial

Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain oneWhy Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
