Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Harrogate

Contract type: Long term

Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work at a SEND school based in Harrogate.

This school caters for children aged 2-19 years old and offers exceptional guidance for students with PMLD, ASC and elements of challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have experience working alongside children with additional needs in an educational setting.

This school's most recent Ofsted report was presented as "Good" as it continues to be a warm and welcoming school where students can thrive.

The normal working pattern for this school is 8:45 to 3:50pm and would be a long-term role given a successful trial day.

The ideal candidate will have:

An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Some experience working with or alongside pupils that have SEND

A compassionate, resilient and patient personality

A great understanding of safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people

Be familiar with some tailored interventions and programmes that are used to support children and young people with PMLD, ASC and/or challenging behaviourLeader Education can offer:
