Job Title: Trainee Mechanical Fitter

Location: Eastleigh

Pay Rate: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (PAYE)

Temp to perm – Monday to Friday

We are currently seeking Trainee Mechanical Fitters to join a busy and growing manufacturing company based in Eastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive environment with the potential for long-term work.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in the mechanical fitting of various products

Learning to work from engineering drawings

Using hand tools and equipment safely

Supporting the team in meeting tight tolerances and quality standardsRequirements:

Some basic mechanical knowledge or relevant qualifications (e.g., college course, apprenticeship, or hands-on experience)

(example) HNC / HND / NVQ / City and guilds / BTEC – Mechanical

Willingness to learn and develop mechanical fitting skills

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

A good work ethic and attention to detailAdditional Information:

Overtime available, paid at enhanced rates (time and a half after 8 hours/day, Saturdays at time and a half, Sundays at double time)
