KS1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham B16

Pay Rate: £(Apply online only)

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Start Date: 01/09/2025

Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm

We are looking for an energetic and adaptable KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school team. This varied role involves working across four classes in Key Stage 1, delivering small-group intervention sessions, and covering PPA lessons 2-3 times per week. It's a fantastic opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience across different year groups, teaching styles, and classroom settings. Every day will bring a mix of teaching support, creativity, and opportunities to help children thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted intervention sessions in reading, writing, and maths.

Support learning across multiple KS1 classes as required.

Deliver engaging lessons during PPA cover, following plans provided by the teacher.

Work closely with teaching staff to identify and address learning gaps.

Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.You Will Need:

Previous experience working with KS1 pupils in a primary school setting.

Confidence in delivering learning activities to small groups and whole classes.

Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
