An inclusive and supportive primary school in Barnet is seeking a motivated and caring Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to children’s learning, particularly through boosters, interventions, and supporting pupils with additional needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working closely with class teachers to ensure every child feels confident, valued, and supported in their education. Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils in Key Stage 2, including small-group booster sessions and one-to-one interventions.

• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom activities, ensuring all learners are engaged.

• Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), promoting inclusion and positive behaviour.

• Help track pupil progress and work with teachers to identify next steps.

• Contribute to creating a nurturing and positive learning environment.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with Key Stage 2 pupils (school-based or tutoring desirable).

• Can demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.

• Is confident supporting children with SEN or additional needs.

• Works well as part of a collaborative team and shows initiative.

• Holds relevant TA qualifications or experience (desirable but not essential).

Why Join?

• Be part of a welcoming and supportive school community.

• Play a vital role in boosting children’s confidence and academic progress.

• Gain valuable classroom experience in a respected Barnet primary school.

• Flexible working pattern to suit your lifestyle.
