IT Lecturer – BTEC Level 2 & 3
Location: East London College
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Competitive – Based on Experience
A college in East London is seeking a dedicated IT Lecturer to deliver engaging and comprehensive teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC IT programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator or IT professional to inspire learners and support their progression into higher education or employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high–quality lessons across a range of IT subjects, including: Programming Networking Cyber Security Web and Mobile App Development Project Management Databases and SQL Support students with their academic progress, providing effective feedback and guidance Contribute to curriculum development and cross–departmental projects Maintain accurate records, tracking learner progress and achievement Engage learners through innovative and industry–relevant teaching methods Candidate Requirements:
Relevant degree or professional qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTS) or willingness to work towards one Broad technical knowledge across multiple IT disciplines Strong organisational skills and the ability to motivate and engage learners Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment Desirable:
Experience teaching in Further Education Familiarity with T–Levels (not essential) Previous industry experience within IT, networking, or software development How to Apply
