Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Job Title: HLTA
Location: Leyland
Salary: £100 - £140 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
The Role:
We are recruiting an experienced and qualified HLTA to support learning and development across the school. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality lessons, lead small group interventions, and occasionally cover whole classes during PPA or teacher absence.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong curriculum knowledge, classroom presence, and the ambition to contribute to school-wide teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and key stages
Work with groups of pupils to close attainment gaps in literacy, numeracy, or SEN
Support the emotional wellbeing and academic progress of pupils
Collaborate with teaching staff on planning, assessment, and pupil reports
Contribute to enrichment activities, clubs, and extracurricular learningRequirements:
HLTA Status or equivalent Level 4 qualification (or willing to work toward one)
Previous classroom experience as a TA or Cover Supervisor
Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
Ability to plan, adapt, and deliver learning with enthusiasm and authority
