Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - SEN Provision

Location: Northampton

Salary: Competitive, dependant on salary

Contract Type: Full Time, Part Time, Flexible Supply

Simply Education is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our inclusive and nurturing SEN provision, where every pupil is valued, supported, and given the tools to thrive.

About the Role:

You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality support for pupils with a range of needs including Autism, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities, and associated behavioural challenges. As an HLTA, you'll work closely with teaching staff to lead learning activities, support lesson planning, and help shape a positive, engaging environment tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities:

Deliver small group or 1:1 intervention under the guidance of the teacher or SENCO

Support in planning and adapting learning activities to meet EHCP outcomes

Provide in-class support across a range of subjects and developmental levels

Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour, and well-being

Lead lessons in the teacher's absence and contribute to assessment and planningYou Will Need:

HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience

A solid understanding of SEN, particularly in communication, cognition, or behavioural needs

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

A proactive, flexible and nurturing approach

A commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting every child to achieve their potentialWe Offer:
