Job Title: HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

Location: Barton-upon-Humber

Pay Rate: £98.94 – £114.84 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you an experienced and dedicated HLTA, ready to support primary education and help students achieve their full potential?

GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HLTA to join schools in Barton-upon-Humber. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have experience working in classrooms and are ready to take on a more senior role, supporting teachers and pupils alike.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), your expertise will allow you to take on additional responsibilities, such as leading sessions and managing classroom activities in the absence of the class teacher.

Responsibilities as an HLTA:

Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in the absence of the class teacher, following pre-prepared plans.

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, including those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

Assist in planning, preparing, and assessing classroom activities to support student progress.

Support classroom management and maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

Work closely with the class teacher to monitor student progress and provide tailored support.

Promote the inclusion of all students and ensure they are actively engaged in lessons.

Requirements for HLTA:

Level 4 qualification or equivalent in teaching assistance or relevant field.

Experience working as an HLTA or in a similar classroom role is essential.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A passion for education and supporting students' personal and academic development.

A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

A full, up-to-date CV with a clear employment history and explanations for any gaps within the last 10 years.
