Job Advert - Higher Level Teaching Assistant / Cover Supervisor (Part-Time - 4 Days a Week)

Location: Aylesbury

Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 FTE (term-time only, pro rata for 26 hours per week)

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (4 days per week, 26 hours)

This exciting and flexible role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety and wants to play a key role in supporting students' learning and development. You'll step in to cover lessons in the absence of teaching staff and work closely with small groups to boost pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes in the absence of teaching staff

Deliver small-group and one-to-one intervention sessions

Support and lead a team of Assistant Teachers

Contribute to lesson planning and resource development

Promote positive behaviour and inclusion strategies

Uphold school safeguarding and wellbeing policies

Experience working in a school or educational environment

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

A confident, adaptable, and resilient approach

HLTA status (or a willingness to work towards it)
