Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunities – Secondary Schools in London

Start: September 2025 Contract: Full Academic Year (Until July 2026)

TimePlan Education is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across secondary schools throughout London on a long–term, full academic year contract. This is an ideal opportunity for graduates considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, youth work, or SEN support.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll support students across a range of subjects and abilities. You will work closely with classroom teachers, either as a general TA within the classroom or providing 1:1 support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN). These needs may be physical, emotional, or social in nature.

Responsibilities may include:

Supporting students in lessons to help them achieve their academic goalsDelivering small–group or one–on–one intervention sessionsAssisting with classroom management and behaviour supportContributing to a positive and inclusive learning environmentWhat We're Looking For:

Recent university graduates (all disciplines welcome – education, psychology, and social sciences are especially relevant)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsPatience, empathy, and a passion for working with young peopleA proactive and flexible approach to supporting varied classroom needsPrevious experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
