Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a graduate looking to gain valuable experience in a primary school setting before moving into teacher training?

Are you ready to support pupils in KS2 through focused 1:1 and small group work?

*** Immediate start until July 2025

*** £81 - £98 per day

*** ‘Good’ 2-form entry primary school, Hall Green

*** 1:1 and small group support across KS2

The Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2, working with pupils who need extra guidance to reach their full potential. You’ll lead small intervention groups, provide one-to-one support, and assist teachers with lesson delivery and resource preparation. Your work will help build pupil confidence, boost attainment, and ensure every child is engaged in their learning.

The Candidate:

You should hold a degree in any subject and have a genuine interest in working with children in a school environment. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude are essential. Any previous experience working with children will support your application.

Requirements

Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.

Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.

Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

Desire to work in education/with children – A genuine interest in supporting young learners and developing a career in education.

Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
