Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School | Brent | September 2025 Start

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education and working with young people? Are you considering a future career in teaching, psychology, youth work, or educational support?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Brent, seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2025. This full-time role is ideal for graduates from any discipline who are eager to gain valuable, hands-on experience in a school environment.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support class teachers across a range of subjects.

Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to help them access the curriculum.

Assist with classroom management and lesson preparation.

Provide tailored support for students with additional needs (including SEND, EAL, or those requiring extra academic support).

Help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Act as a positive role model and contribute to students' personal and academic development.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A recent university degree (all subjects welcome).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, proactive, and resilient approach.

Some experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, youth work) - formal or informal.

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).

A genuine interest in education and a desire to make a difference.
