Graduate Teaching Assistant – Coventry – September

Recent Graduate

Role: Teaching Assistant

Sector: Secondary Schools (‘Good’ or ’Outstanding’ Ofsted rated)

Location: Coventry

Salary: £80-£105 per day

Start Date: September 2025

Hours: Monday to Friday (typically 8:30am – 3:30pm)

Contract Type: Long-term

Twenty4Seven Education are seeking a full-time dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join one of our vibrant and inclusive secondary schools from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring education professionals to develop their skills and make a real difference in students’ lives in a long-term role.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Safeguard pupils’ well-being by following relevant statutory guidance along with school policies, procedures and practice

* Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects and year groups (KS3 & KS4)

* Support students on a whole class/small group/one-on-one basis to enhance learning outcomes

* Provide pupils with feedback on their progress where appropriate

* Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, focused learning environment

* Be a positive role model and uphold the school’s values and expectations

* Communicate effectively with students and staff

About You:

* Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills

* Good Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills

* A positive, proactive and resilient attitude

* Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)

Vetting checks:

* Right to work in the UK

* Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years

* Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child/Child & Adult) on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

* A recent graduate (any subject welcome)
