Food Technology Technician - Secondary School - Wirral - September Start

Full-Time | Long-Term Contract | Up to £100 per day

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a Food Technology Technician to join a welcoming secondary school in the Wirral from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term school technician job running until at least October half-term - with the potential to continue until the school appoints a permanent Food Technology Technician.

This role would suit someone with school technician, food preparation, or catering assistant experience who is food hygiene trained and confident working in a busy school environment.

Food Technology Technician - Role Overview:

Support the Food Technology Department in day-to-day running of lessons.

Prepare ingredients and specialist cooking equipment for practical lessons.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in food preparation areas.

Order, store, and manage stock of food and materials.

Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging Food Technology lessons.

Comply with all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and school policies.Essential Criteria for the Food Technology Technician:

Food hygiene certification (essential).

Previous experience as a Food Technology Technician, school technician, or in a catering/kitchen environment.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).Job Details:
