Description

A well–established and inclusive secondary school in Bristol is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high–quality English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring a love for language and literature while supporting all learners to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum

Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs

Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback

Maintain strong classroom behaviour and a positive learning atmosphere

Contribute to the wider school community and departmental planning

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)

Strong subject knowledge and passion for English language and literature

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

A commitment to student development and achievement

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
