North London

September 2025 start

95–110 per day

Veritas Education works with a wide range of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high–quality teachers and support staff for long–term, short–term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.

We are currently recruiting English and Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistants for secondary schools in North London. Roles are full time, term time only, to start in September 2025. English and Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities:

Provide academic and pastoral support to students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).Proactively support students in reaching their academic potential.Encourage active engagement with learning, fostering a positive classroom environment.Support a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.Assist the class teacher in delivering high–quality lessons and supporting student development.

What We're Looking For:

Educated to degree level in any English or Humanities subjectEngaging and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in education.A confident communicator, able to build strong relationships with students and staff.Knowledgeable or experienced in supporting students, including those with SEN and learning difficulties.Patient, empathetic, and committed to the well–being of young people.Reliable, proactive, and dedicated to helping students achieve their potential.Able to work collaboratively with teachers and independently when required.

Desirable:

Previous experience supporting students in an educational setting or through mentoring or tutoringRelevant training or certifications, such as Safeguarding, SEN, or Behaviour Management.If you wish to be considered please respond to this advert by sending your up to date CV.
