Description

Job Title: EHC Plan Writer

Location: North West England (Remote)

Contract Type: Temporary

Start Date: 8th September 2025

Pay Rate: 280 – 300 per day

Prospero Teaching is looking for a skilled and passionate EHCP Writer to support a local authority in the North West of England. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by shaping the future support of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

If you have a strong background in SEND assessments, multi–agency collaboration, and producing clear, detailed reports, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Produce high–quality, legally compliant EHCPs based on assessments and professional input.Work closely with schools, local authorities, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure all perspectives are included.Ensure EHCPs are accurate, person–centred, and completed within statutory deadlines.Analyse specialist reports, educational data, and recommendations to inform EHCP content.Deliver clear, structured, and accessible written plans that make a meaningful difference.Requirements:

Proven experience in EHCP writing or working within an SEND team.Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.Excellent report–writing and organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.Experience working in local authority, education, or healthcare settings.Right to work in the UK.Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.Desired Qualifications & Experience:
