Performing Arts LSA – Sixth Form College – Kensington

Location: Kensington, London

Contract Type: Full-time | Term-time only

Are you passionate about the performing arts and committed to supporting young people in their creative and academic development?

We are recruiting on behalf of a vibrant sixth form college in Kensington for a dynamic and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their Performing Arts department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in theatre, dance, music, or performance, who enjoys working closely with students and helping them thrive in an educational environment.

The Role:

As a Performing Arts LSA, you will:

*

Support students aged 16–19 in a range of Performing Arts classes, including acting, dance, and music.

*

Provide academic and creative support to learners, including those with SEN and additional needs.

*

Assist in rehearsals, workshops, and performance preparation both in and outside the classroom.

*

Help manage resources, props, scripts, and equipment to ensure smooth delivery of sessions.

*

Work closely with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and support differentiated instruction.

*

Foster confidence, creativity, and independence in students through positive engagement and encouragement.

Requirements:

*

A background in Performing Arts (theatre, music, dance, etc.) – either professionally or through education.

*

Experience working with young people or students in an educational or creative setting.

*

A passion for inclusive education and supporting students with diverse needs.

*

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive, hands-on attitude.

*

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo checks).
