Deputy Leader

Based at St Bede CofE Primary School in Winchester, the Ark Breakfast and After School Club is an independent, not for profit organisation caring for up to 90 children every day. We strive to provide high quality childcare in a relaxed but stimulating environment promoting belonging, friendship and creativity. We understand that the children in our care are unique individuals who can expect to be respected and nurtured.

We are now seeking two Deputy leaders to support both morning and afternoon sessions, and also to co-manage a team of play workers. We would love to hear from individuals with experience in play/childcare who are excellent team players with a passion for working with children, creating fun activities, and delivering safe and quality care. It also matters to us a lot that you are able to communicate with all children, their parents and all staff.

Essential

A minimum of two years' experience of working with 4 to 11 year olds

Previous experience supervising other staff

Desirable

An NVQ level 2 in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent)

Experience in EYFS and Tapestry

Paediatric First Aid

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: GBP14.00-GBP16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 26.25 per week
