Cover Supervisors

Description

We are seeking experienced Cover Supervisors to join a network of secondary schools, providing high-quality classroom supervision in the absence of the regular teacher.

This role is ideal for individuals with prior classroom experience who are confident managing behaviour, delivering pre-set work, and maintaining a focused learning environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Cover Supervisor:

Supervising lessons across a variety of subjects using pre-prepared materials

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Ensuring a positive and productive learning environment

Reporting back to teachers on student progress and any issues

Assisting with general school duties when required

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

Proven experience as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school setting

Strong classroom management skills as a Cover Supervisor.

Confident, adaptable, and professional approach

Ability to engage and motivate students across different age groups and abilities

A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
