Cover Supervisor – Loughborough and Surrounding Areas

Pay: £100 - £120 per day

Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire

Are you confident, reliable, and keen to support secondary students in the classroom? GSL Education is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of secondary schools in Loughborough and surrounding areas, including Coalville, Shepshed, and Quorn.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, support student learning, and explore a career in education — without the planning and marking responsibilities of a qualified teacher.

We are seeking flexible individuals who are available for daily supply, short-term roles, and longer-term placements across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Requirements:

Experience working with young people in any setting (education, youth work, coaching, etc.)

Strong spoken and written English – essential for clear communication and effective classroom support

Good classroom presence with the ability to manage behaviour effectively

A proactive, flexible attitude and the confidence to step into different schools and year groups

A valid Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising a classroom in the absence of the usual teacher

Delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring pupils remain on task

Managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment

Reporting back to teaching staff on pupil progress and conduct
