Location: Medway & Surrounding Areas, Kent

Start Date: September 2025

Salary: £110 – £150 per day (Dependent on Experience)

We are working with a network of secondary schools in Medway and the surrounding areas, who are seeking reliable and engaging Cover Supervisors for the new academic year starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or for those with teaching experience seeking flexible work.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons to secondary school students in the absence of the class teacher.

Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain engaged in their learning.

Supervise work set by teaching staff and provide support where needed.

Follow school policies on safeguarding and behaviour management.

Adapt to teaching different subjects and age groups throughout the school day.

Provide feedback to the regular teacher on pupil progress and behaviour.

The ideal Cover Supervisor will have:

Previous classroom experience (as a TA, Cover Supervisor, or teacher) or a relevant qualification.

Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

Confidence in leading a class of students aged 11–16.

Flexibility and a proactive attitude towards covering a range of subjects.
