Are you a confident and motivated individual with a passion for education? A vibrant, inclusive secondary school in Brent is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support learning across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 from September 2025.

About the Role

You’ll be stepping into the classroom to cover lessons during teacher absences, delivering pre-prepared material, and ensuring students remain engaged and on task. You’ll need to be adaptable, professional, and calm under pressure, ready to manage behaviour and uphold the school's expectations for learning and conduct.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher across a variety of subjects

• Deliver lesson plans left by teachers and ensure continuity of learning

• Manage classroom behaviour and respond to student queries appropriately

• Report back on lesson progress and behaviour issues as needed

• Support with administrative tasks and classroom preparation when not covering

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting

• Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills

• Flexible, proactive, and positive mindset

• A genuine passion for supporting young people in their educational journey

• An interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education is advantageous
