Cover supervisor (SEND provision)

Description

Do you have experience leading a classroom and a passion for supporting the learning of children with SEND?

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic SEND cover supervisor to join our hard-working, dedicated team. This role involves delivering pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects in the absence of the designated class teacher.

Key responsibilities:

Efficiently deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in a variety of subjects.

Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for learning.

Handle classroom behaviour with care and effectiveness.

Provide both academic and pastoral support, tailored to individual student needs.

Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff to maintain consistent support for all learners.

What we're looking for:

Previous experience working in a school or education setting.

Experience working with SEND pupils is desired but not essential.

A passion for providing the best possible learning environment for students.

A patient, caring approach to teaching.

Essential requirements:

Right to work in the UK - we are unable to offer Sponsorship or accept Skilled Worker visas.

Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years).

Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one*
