About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team from September 2025 for the full academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining the continuity of learning during teacher absences. You will deliver pre–prepared lessons to classes across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering pre–prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the classroom teacher

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Supporting pupils to engage with learning and complete set tasks

Ensuring a safe and positive learning environment

Providing feedback to teaching staff about lesson outcomes

About You

The successful candidate will:

Have strong communication and organisational skills

Be confident in managing classroom behaviour effectively

Be adaptable, flexible, and willing to cover a range of subjects

Ideally, have prior experience working with young people (e.g., in schools, youth work, tutoring, or mentoring)

Hold a good standard of education (minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths)

This role would be ideal for someone considering a future career in teaching, or for graduates seeking valuable school–based experience before progressing to teacher training.
