Location: Wombwell

Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work in schools in and around Wombwell. As a CS, this is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals who enjoy leading and motivating students in the absence of their usual class teacher.

Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

Supervising classes during short-term teacher absences.

Ensuring students remain on task and follow the lesson plans provided.

Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school’s policy.

Reporting any incidents or issues to senior staff as required.

Providing general support to departments when cover is not needed.

Requirements for Cover Supervisor:

Previous experience in a school or working with young people is desirable.

Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.

Ability to remain calm, confident, and professional at all times.

A flexible and proactive approach to classroom supervision.

An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.

A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
