Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a proactive and dependable Cover Supervisor to work in schools across Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates, or individuals with classroom experience to support learning and gain valuable insight into school life.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons to students in the absence of the regular class teacher. You will manage the classroom, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure pupils remain on task with their work.

Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

Supervise whole classes during teacher absences.

Distribute and explain the pre-set work provided by teaching staff.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

Provide brief feedback to teaching staff on pupil behaviour and progress.

Assist with general classroom duties when not covering lessons.

Requirements for the Cover Supervisor role:

Previous experience working with pupils is desirable.

Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills.

Confident, flexible, and calm under pressure.

Good communication and organisational skills.

A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
